No attorney–client relationship

An attorney–client relationship with the firm is created only when: (a) we have completed a conflicts check; (b) we have confirmed in writing that we will act for you; and (c) you and the firm have signed a written engagement agreement.

Until all three have happened, we owe you no duty of confidentiality in respect of unsolicited information, and information you send us may not be privileged. Please do not send us confidential or sensitive information before an engagement agreement is in place. If you do, we may be unable to treat it as confidential, and it will not prevent us from acting for another party whose interests are adverse to yours.
